The upcoming edition of the 'Total Energies' Africa Cup of Nations is set to take place in 2027, with Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda jointly hosting the event. I am confident that this tournament will be a resounding success. Subsequent editions of the Africa Cup of Nations are scheduled for 2028, 2031, and 2033. The FIFA World Cup will be held in 2030, adhering to FIFA's tradition, which dictates that no Africa Cup of Nations or other continental football associations' national team final tournament will be held in the same year. The Africa Cup of Nations is not just a football spectacle; it is also a grand celebration of Africa's diverse cultures, customs, and traditions. It brings together the peoples of the 54 African nations, African diaspora, and friends from across the globe. The decision made by the Confederation of African Football's executive committee aligns with the greatest interests of African football and its 54 member associations, and it is poised to significantly advance the long-term development of the sport on the continent.
